Autotune for your keyboard
Rendition is a MIDI plug-in that lets you divide your keyboard into sections and play complex chords and arps with just one finger.
Why did we create Rendition?
I always wished I was a better piano player. Because of this, I have long been terrified by the blank canvas, the empty session. I had spent years mastering my skills in a DAW, learning plugins, melodies, and song structure, but never had the time to learn how to play complex chords and smoothly change keys. My lack of piano-playing ability was easily the thing that slowed down my creative process and imposed an impediment to making art.
I love chord generators and arpeggiators but many of them don’t work seamlessly with my favorite VST’s. The world is full of midi packs but I hated the process of dragging in midi, editing it up and moving it around on the timeline. I wanted a solution that feels like an instrument, a solution that is fun to actually play and transforms my midi keyboard into a talented musician. I set out to fix all those problems with one solution: Rendition. Every time I pull open a new session, I am no longer scared to start. In fact, one instance of Rendition, in front of an inspiring instrument plugin, is all I need to find inspiration right away. Setting my key, my scale, and using one finger to create my own custom chord progressions has completely changed my workflow and given me access to chord voicings and progressions I didn’t even know existed.
Rendition is the key to my creative workflow and I don’t ever start a track without it.

EVERY NOTE WORKS.
Even without music theory knowledge or an understanding of inversions or progressions.
Just press the root note and you’ll get the chord that was assigned to it. Add chord modifiers like Smart Invert or Spread Up, and even the basic C major scale comes alive.
Never play a wrong note
Key restrict lets you either mute, play the nearest correct note or even automatically map any scale and key to C major - so you can just play any white note and it is in the key and scale you’ve selected
The blank session is no longer terrifying.

Humanize
Make chords and arps sound natural with two humanize controls: one over timing, and one over velocity. Drag your mouse across the table to make fast changes

Modifiers
The ultimate performance power of Rendition comes when you use modifiers. You can assign a section of your keyboard not to play notes, but to modify what you are doing on other zones momentarily

Arp Patterns
Rendition comes with lots of unique arp patterns that you can optionally combine with chords: press a single key and you’ll get all the notes of the chord with your chosen pattern. We didn’t stick to the normal up and down ones either, you’ll find some very interesting patterns here.

Presets
Rendition comes with over a hundred presets in genres from Classical to Jazz to Pop. Just load the preset and get a keyboard that’s pre-divided into the ideal zones, and lots of custom complex custom chords.

Custom chord builder
For advanced users, you can manually set your own chords - either by clicking each note you want in the chord, or by using the “capture chord” button” while simply playing the chord you want associated with that key.

Latch & hold
Works with any zone - chord, arp or modifier. You can press a key and have it stick around until you press it again, or use “latch” mode so that it stays pressed until you replace it with the next note or chord.
